AI at Pancakes
AI can help you start and maintain a Site, but it does not replace your judgment. Here is what it does, what it sees, and what remains in your control.
Smart site calendar
When enabled, the Smart site calendar periodically reviews selected Site content and suggests useful edits to your Site and pages. That might include holiday hours, seasonal updates, an expiring offer, an outdated date, or a relevant local event. Suggestions can include sources so you can check the facts before acting.
You approve changes
AI output can be incomplete or wrong. Calendar suggestions do not change or publish your Site by themselves: you review them and decide whether to edit, schedule, dismiss, or ignore them. Turn off Smart site calendar at any time to stop automatic scans; manual calendar tools remain available.
What is shared
Pancakes sends only the Site content relevant to the task, along with applicable calendar settings and a broad location when local suggestions are enabled. We redact detected names, Site identity, email addresses, and phone numbers before calendar content is sent. Other content can still contain personal information, so do not put passwords, payment details, health information, or other sensitive personal data in content you ask AI to process.
Our AI provider
Pancakes uses OpenAI's API to generate Smart site calendar suggestions and other AI-assisted drafts. OpenAI says API inputs and outputs are not used to train its models by default. Under its default Responses API controls, response data is retained for at least 30 days, and abuse-monitoring data may be kept for up to 30 days or longer when legally required. Other AI-assisted tools
If you choose AI setup or ask Pancakes to draft or revise content, we send the business brief, instructions, and relevant Site content needed for that request. The result remains editable and subject to your review. For our general data practices and privacy requests, see the privacy policy.
